Bluescamp UK is a three-day learning experience of Blues, Rock and Jazz for vocalists and backing vocalists, saxophonists, guitarists (electric and acoustic), bassists, drummers and keyboard players of all ages and abilities and is located at Tonbridge school.

Meet like-minded, music loving people in a nurturing environment at Tonbridge School in Kent, and enjoy playing, learning, developing and generally having a great time! We will assess your level of playing to ensure you get the most from your time at Bluescamp UK.

We cater to each individual’s needs as much as possible covering all genres of music, from beginners to advanced musicians. Each year the days are structured to suit you, making it a relaxing and enjoyable weekend for everyone. The weekend culminates in a live performance where groups debut songs written over the 3 days.

Informal lessons and practical workshops cover aspects of contemporary music, including chords, scales and uses in performance-related areas and improvisation. There is a section on songwriting where you will be able to perform your own work as part of a band.

Subjects covered in the three-day course include live performance tips, chord and scale theory, bass playing, drumming and singing. This is by no means a definitive list, however. Ultimately, our tutors tailor the experience around you and what it is you want to achieve. We aim to make it a fun experience!

The Course

Bluescamp 2025 will take place from
25th - 27th July at Tonbridge School, Kent.

The cost for the weekend is £795. This is inclusive of tutoring, accommodation, three daily meals and refreshments. Once you have paid there are no more costs.

The weekend will follow a flexible schedule, depending on the attendees, the skill levels and the types of things people would like to do. It all culminates in a live performance on the Sunday, at the end of the weekend, where bands will play a few numbers and also debut songs that they've written over the weekend.

We have many musicians who return year after year and maintain friendships and musical relationships with those who they have met whilst attending the weekend.
