Gordon Giltrap part 1

Gordon is one of the best known acoustic guitarists and is truly original. It was great to catch up with Gordon and have such an in depth chat. This interview is in two parts and I had to do a lot of sound editing as there were issues, hopeful this does not affect the talk, I have not taken out it is all in there you just need to sit down with a cuppa and relax!

I will leave the last word to another guitar great for those of you who are unfamiliar with Gordons work

Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple and Blackmore's Night says:

"Anyone who asks me knows, that I think that Gordon Giltrap is one of the best acoustic guitar players in the world. He gave me lots of hints on how to approach the acoustic guitar as opposed to the electric guitar.

He was always way ahead of his time. His concerts and playing are breathtaking. He's also very witty, and I love the fact that he has not cut his hair!"

Enough said..

What I learnt from a Medway artist. In this week's solo show I reflect on what lessons can be drawn (!) from an artist and other previous episodes this month.

There is much to be applied to the world that we now find ourselves as it turns out.

I learnt of Geoff through John Adams who managed his tours in the UK

Geoff is an excellent player as well as being a fine chap!
